Book Coaching

You’ve written a draft, but something feels off. Maybe you’re stuck in revision, unsure how to improve your story. You’ve read books on craft, taken courses, even joined a writing group, but you still feel overwhelmed. You want feedback you can trust, a plan you can follow, and someone in your corner who understands what it is you’re trying to do.

Without guidance, it’s easy to lose momentum. You might waste months second-guessing every choice or rewriting the same scenes without moving forward. Worse, you may put your novel away altogether. Not because you lack talent, but because you didn’t get the support you needed at the right time.

As a writer myself, I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the middle of a messy draft, in desperate need of clarity and support. That’s why I became a certified book coach: to help writers like you bring their stories to life with purpose.

I feel like I've learned so much through working with you and I'm very pleased with how this story has turned out. Whatever happens publication wise, this is what brings me the most satisfaction. The story I've loved in my head and heart is now on the page. What better accomplishment is there than that? Thank you for helping make it happen.”  ~Krista  Lynn White. author

What Does a Round of Book Coaching Look Like?

Each round of coaching is referred to as a "deadline."

1. On each deadline, you'll be sending me a submission.

  • If we're doing classic on-going coaching, your submission might be 20 pages of new or rewritten chapters, or assigned worksheets.
  • If we're doing revision mapping or planning out a new work, your submission will be specific to where we are in the process, rather than a page count.

2. I return your submission back to you with developmental and line-level feedback right inside the pages.

3. We hop on a call to discuss whatever needs discussing - answering your questions, discussing a craft issue, talking about your story, getting clear on next steps, banishing any pesky doubt demons, brainstorming & problem-solving issues that turn up, etc. Whatever you need. The goal is for you to finish your book to the best of your ability AND enjoy a satisfying writing life.

Revise your novel with confidence

My Process

One of the tools I use with all my clients is the Blueprint for a Book method developed by Jennie Nash of Author Accelerator. No matter what stage of the writing process you’re in, we always start with at least some parts of the blueprint.

Why? Think of your novel as a house – it won’t matter how many beautiful paintings you hang on the wall, they’re ALL going to hang crooked if the house is sitting on a wonky foundation. Let’s start by making sure those story-bones are nice and straight!

What is it?  The blueprint is a set of curated questions and worksheets aimed at helping us figure out what it is you want to say, how you want to say it, and why. What you come away with is clarity around your story and a path forward.

You get:

✅ Regular submission deadlines (accountability!)

✅ Thoughtful editorial feedback (growth!)

✅ Coaching calls via Zoom (support!)

The Revision Roadmap

Figure out exactly what your manuscript needs before you rewrite a single page.

You've got a draft. Now you need to know what to do with it.

Together, we'll dig into your manuscript and figure out exactly what it's doing, and what it needs to do. Using a combination of Author Accelerator tools and my own process, we'll build what's called an As Is Outline: a clear-eyed map of your story as it actually exists on the page right now.

From there, we'll identify your readers' intended takeaway, pinpoint what's working, name what isn't, and strategize the fixes, so that when we're done, you have a concrete revision roadmap. No more staring at your draft wondering where to start. You'll know exactly what needs to happen, and why.

Your investment: $1800 (six rounds of deadlines & coaching calls.) Package must be completed within four months.

On-Going Book Coaching

For writers who don't want to go it alone.

Already have your roadmap? This is where we put it into action.

Writing a book is a long game, and it's a lot easier when someone is in your corner the whole way through. Each round, you'll submit pages, and I'll give you honest, craft-focused feedback along with a coaching call to talk through what's working, what needs attention, and what comes next.

I'll help you brainstorm when you're stuck, problem-solve when the story isn't cooperating, and keep you moving forward when the doubt demons show up (because they will.)

Your Investment:

One submission & coaching call: $300/month

Two submissions & coaching calls: $600/month

Coaching can be billed at the beginning of each month or in three-month packages.

What Happens on a Discovery Call?

A discovery call is a little bit like a "meet and greet." It's complimentary 20-minute conversation over Zoom where we talk about the gap between where you are now with your writing, and where you want to be.

We'll talk about your goals and challenges, explore how I might be able to support you, and see if we would be a good fit to work together.

Please note that coaching a writer is deeply personal work that comes with a high level of attention.

For this reason I only work with a very small handful of writers at a time.

I am full at the moment (May 2026), but accepting clients on a wait list for the fall.
