You’ve written a draft, but something feels off. Maybe you’re stuck in revision, unsure how to improve your story. You’ve read books on craft, taken courses, even joined a writing group, but you still feel overwhelmed. You want feedback you can trust, a plan you can follow, and someone in your corner who understands what it is you’re trying to do.
Without guidance, it’s easy to lose momentum. You might waste months second-guessing every choice or rewriting the same scenes without moving forward. Worse, you may put your novel away altogether. Not because you lack talent, but because you didn’t get the support you needed at the right time.
As a writer myself, I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the middle of a messy draft, in desperate need of clarity and support. That’s why I became a certified book coach: to help writers like you bring their stories to life with purpose.
“I feel like I've learned so much through working with you and I'm very pleased with how this story has turned out. Whatever happens publication wise, this is what brings me the most satisfaction. The story I've loved in my head and heart is now on the page. What better accomplishment is there than that? Thank you for helping make it happen.” ~Krista Lynn White. author
My Process
One of the tools I use with all my clients is the Blueprint for a Book method developed by Jennie Nash of Author Accelerator. No matter what stage of the writing process you’re in, we always start with at least some parts of the blueprint.
Why? Think of your novel as a house – it won’t matter how many beautiful paintings you hang on the wall, they’re ALL going to hang crooked if the house is sitting on a wonky foundation. Let’s start by making sure those story-bones are nice and straight!
What is it? The blueprint is a set of curated questions and worksheets aimed at helping us figure out what it is you want to say, how you want to say it, and why. What you come away with is clarity around your story and a path forward.
You get:
Regular submission deadlines (accountability!)
Thoughtful editorial feedback (growth!)
Coaching calls via Zoom (support!)
Steps to Revision
Step 1:
The Revision Roadmap
Figure out exactly what your manuscript needs before you rewrite a single page.
You've got a draft. Now you need to know what to do with it.
Together, we'll dig into your manuscript and figure out exactly what it's doing, and what it needs to do. Using a combination of Author Accelerator tools and my own process, we'll build what's called an As Is Outline: a clear-eyed map of your story as it actually exists on the page right now.
From there, we'll identify your readers' intended takeaway, pinpoint what's working, name what isn't, and strategize the fixes — so that when we're done, you have a concrete revision roadmap. No more staring at your draft wondering where to start. You'll know exactly what needs to happen, and why.
Your investment: $300 per round (each round = one submission deadline). Plan for approximately six rounds in total — roughly $1,800 for the full revision mapping process.
Step 2:
On-Going Book Coaching
For writers who don't want to go it alone.
Already have your roadmap? This is where we put it into action.
Writing a book is a long game, and it's a lot easier when someone is in your corner the whole way through. Each round, you'll submit pages, and I'll give you honest, craft-focused feedback along with a coaching call to talk through what's working, what needs attention, and what comes next.
I'll help you brainstorm when you're stuck, problem-solve when the story isn't cooperating, and keep you moving forward when the doubt demons show up (because they will.)
You'll finish each session with more clarity, more confidence, and a clearer sense of direction than when you started.
Your investment: $300 per round (each round = one submission deadline). Two rounds per month = $600/month.
Plan to commit to a minimum of three months — six submission rounds — to build real momentum and good habits. After that, continue for as long as your book needs you to.
Not sure if this is the right fit? Start with a Thinking Out Loud Session and we'll figure it out together.
The Thinking
Out Loud Session
For writers who process better when they can hear themselves talk, or who aren't sure where (or how) to get started.
Sometimes you don't need pages marked up or a revision plan. You just need someone to think alongside you.
Book a Thinking Out Loud Session when you want a fresh perspective on a sticking point, need to brainstorm your way through a plot problem, want to talk through your story ideas, or simply need a sounding board when you've hit a rough patch.
Book yourself a session whenever you need one — and I'll put the kettle on.
Your investment: $125 per 60-minute session.
Note: I'm happy to do a quick read of one or two pages before our call to get myself up to speed on whatever you'd like to discuss. If you're looking for something more — additional pages, critique, or margin notes — a single session of 1:1 book coaching would be the better fit.
